We salute our Aussie Soldiers and their stories!

This was a fantastic even as we paid tribute to these courageous Australian heroes.

Lest we forget the men and women of honor - for they have shaped our nation. With the eldest of our special guests now in his early nineties, this breakfast provides one of the last public opportunities for our nation to hear from these amazing gentlemen.

In attendence at this absolutely unique pre-ANZAC DAY event were these brave men:

POW - Doug Nix was captured and imprisoned by the Axis forces during World War II. Doug enlisted when he was 17 in 1938. Doug saw action in the North African and Greek campaigns prior to being captured in Kalamata, Greece on 28 April 1941.

POW – Norm Anderton, WW2 POW of the Japanese captured during the fall of Singapore in 1942. He was a member of F Force Thai Burma Rail and a prisoner for 3 years. F Force was made up of 3400 Australian and British soldiers who worked on the centre of the Burma railway.

POW - Phil Greville, Korean War POW. Phil was the highest ranking Australian to be taken as a POW in Korea. He was a Captain and captured in 1952. He later went on to become a Brigadier.

POW - Gordon Jamieson, WW2 POW captured by the Japanese during the fall of Singapore in 1942. He was a member of F Force Thai Burma Rail and a prisoner for 3 years.
